Certification

EN 166 is the European standard for personal eye protection. The supplied markings identify the following tested properties:

Lens marking — 5-1,7 MT 1 BT KN CE UKCA: “5-1,7” identifies a sun-glare filter with scale number 1.7; “1” is the highest optical class on a scale of 1 to 3; “B” indicates medium-energy impact resistance, and “T” indicates that impact rating applies at extreme temperatures.
Lens coatings — K and N: “K” denotes resistance to surface damage by fine particles, and “N” denotes resistance to fogging; these are test designations rather than numerical ratings.
Frame marking — MT 166 3 BT CE: “166” identifies the EN 166 standard; “3” denotes protection against liquid droplets or splashes, while “B” and “T” indicate medium-energy impact resistance at extreme temperatures.
MT, CE and UKCA: “MT” identifies the manufacturer; CE and UKCA are conformity markings.

Instructions and Care

Before each use, check that the visor is undamaged and properly adjusted.
Do not use a scratched or damaged shield.
Always use both hands to install and remove the shield.
Do not use the shield unless it is securely attached to a helmet.
Do not store in direct sunlight or near aggressive chemicals. Store in a dark, dry place without mechanical load, at a temperature below 40 °C and a humidity level below 70%.
Store and transport only in the recommended original packaging.
