EN ISO 21420 addresses general requirements for protective gloves, including design, comfort and harmlessness. EN 388:2016 (4X43F) reports the following mechanical-risk test results:
- Abrasion resistance (4): The highest rating on a scale of 1 to 4; tested to at least 8,000 abrasion cycles.
- Coup blade-cut resistance (X): No rating is reported for this test, so it should not be interpreted as a cut-resistance level.
- Tear resistance (4): The highest rating on a scale of 1 to 4; withstands at least 75 newtons of tearing force.
- Puncture resistance (3): Rated 3 on a scale of 1 to 4; withstands at least 100 newtons of puncture force.
- EN ISO 13997 cut resistance (F): The highest rating on the A-to-F scale; withstands at least 30 newtons in the straight-blade cut test.

Instructions and Care
- Do not wear near rotating machine parts, including saw blades and drills, due to the risk of entanglement. If the tear level is ≥ 1, do not use near moving machinery.
- Designed to minimise risks associated with general handling. These gloves do not protect against chemicals, handling hot or cold objects, or very sharp objects striking the hands with great force or speed.
- Store in the original packaging in clean, covered and ventilated premises under normal temperature and humidity conditions.
- Maintain a storage temperature of -5°C to 35°C and humidity of 20%–75%.
- Gloves can be used out of the packaging for 5 years after the production date printed on the glove; usable life depends on wear and abrasion.
