How to Measure

Helly Hansen measuring points — Typical measuring points for Helly Hansen workwear.

Body height: Stand upright against a wall and measure from the top of your head to the floor.

Chest: Measure around the fullest part of your chest, keeping the tape horizontal and under your arms.

Waist (at belly-button height): Measure around your natural waist at navel level, where your body bends side to side.

Waistband: Measure where your trouser waistband normally sits.

Hip: Stand with feet together and measure around the fullest part of your hips and seat.

Inseam: Measure from the crotch straight down the inside of the leg to the floor (or to where you want the hem to end).

All size tables below are based on body measurements in centimeters (cm), not garment dimensions.

Tip: Measure over light clothing. If you are between two sizes, Helly Hansen recommends choosing the larger size for extra comfort and freedom of movement.

EN ISO 20471 (High Visibility Clothing): Ensures the user remains visible in hazardous or low-light conditions. This product meets Class 1 – suitable for off-road use and lower risk environments.

EN ISO 11612 (Protection Against Heat and Flames): Garment provides protection against contact with heat and limited flame spread:

A1 & A2: Protection against limited flame spread (surface and edge ignition).
B1: Protection against convective heat (Level 1, minimum performance).
C1: Protection against radiant heat (Level 1, minimum performance).
F1: Protection against contact heat at Level 1.

EN 1149-5 (Antistatic Properties): Reduces the risk of electrostatic discharge by dissipating static electricity safely.

EN 61482-2 (Arc Flash Protection): Offers protection against electric arc hazards. This t-shirt has:

ELIM: 4.9 cal/cm² – Energy Limit Value: The maximum energy the garment can withstand without causing a second-degree burn.
ATPV: 6 cal/cm² – Arc Thermal Performance Value: The amount of energy required to cause a 50% probability of second-degree burns.
